Description

Oorkop van porselein, beschilderd op het glazuur in blauw, rood, roze, groen, geel, zwart en goud. Op de buitenwand een gekroond, dubbel spiegelmonogram met 'MVA' en 'CHTD' omgeven door schelpmotieven, krulwerk en bloemtakken; de buitenrand met een band met bloemranken. Europese voorstelling in emailkleuren.

Explanatory note

De monogrammen 'MVA' en 'CHTD' staan voor Maurits van Aerden (1694-1746) en Constantia Helena ten Damme (1694-1772), getrouwd in 1716. Het servies is waarschijnlijk besteld ter ere van hun vijfentwingtigjarig huwelijksjubileum in 1741.
