Gerestitueerd object. Op 28 augustus 2023 tekende demissionair staatssecretaris Uslu voor Cultuur in Sri Lanka de eigendomsoverdracht van dit object. Vanaf die datum was het object in bruikleen van de Democratische Socialistische Republiek Sri Lanka. Op 28 november 2023 vond het transport naar Sri Lanka plaats.

During the colonial period, many cultural objects came to the Netherlands against the will of their owners, such as this object. Following a request for restitution from Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and an opinion in this regard from the Commissie Koloniale Kunst, the Dutch state decided to return the object.
