Poster Protesting the Vietnam War, Art Workers' Coalition, after Ronald L. Haeberle, 1969
Photography has brought war crimes to light on various occasions. This poster is based on a photograph taken by war photographer Ronald Haeberle when American soldiers wrought carnage in the Vietnamese village of My Lai. A participant in this massacre, Paul Meadlo, later admitted in a television interview that men, women and children – and babies – had been shot dead.
