Description

Walvisvangst. Drie Hollandse walvisvaarders in de Poolzee tussen ijsbergen waar op walvissen wordt gejaagd. Het schip rechts draagt de naam 'De Jonas' op de spiegel. Rechts in de verte de bergen van een eiland. Op de voorgrond jaagt de bemanning van enkele sloepen op ijsberen. In het water bevinden zich ook enkele walrussen.
