De Boeddha staat rechtop op een lage, ronde en taps toelopende basis. Zijn rechterarm met abhayamudrā (verzachtend angstgebaar), de andere uitgestrekte arm varamudrā (geven zegening). Hij draagt een binnenkleed, waarvan alleen het borstdeel zichtbaar is en een lang geplooid gewaad dat tot aan zijn blote voeten valt. Zijn hoofd vertoont de karakteristieke kenmerken: de contemplatieve gezichtsuitdrukking, de ushnisha en de grote oren.
