Description

Cilindrische vaas van steengoed, iets uitlopend naar de rand en met een ringvormige verdikking. Beschilderd op het glazuur in groen, geel en paars. De vaas is door de verdikking verdeeld in twee delen met in elk een ingegrift landschap met figuren, bomen en bergen in Nanga-stijl. Gemerkt op de wand. In de voetring concentrische cirkels in reliëf.

Explanatory note

Het voorkomen van een gegraveerd landschap, een ingegrifte signatuur, reliëf cirkels in de voet en de rechte vorm zijn ongebruikelijk voor Mokubei's werk. Mogelijk vervaardigd nadat de schilderingen van Mokubei populair werden.
