Fruit Bowl, Christa Ehrlich, 1928
For the silver factory in Voorschoten, the ideal of a fully mechanical serialised production was largely realised by Viennese designer Christa Ehrlich. In 1927, she set up a new production line for the company, and this fruit bowl is one of the earliest pieces. It looks as minimalistic as Begeer’s communion service. Ehrlich’s designs were produced and sold in a modest run.
