Description
Vierarmig bronzen kruis met rond schild aan draagoog en draagring. Op de voorzijde staat een gekroonde W in een tot krans samengebonden eikentak en lauriertak. Op de keerzijde is eenzelfde krans te zien waarbinnen de jaartallen 1830-1831 gegraveerd zijn. Op de vier armen van het kruis is de tekst TROUW AAN / KONING / EN / VADERLAND te lezen. Het kruis hangt aan een lint dat is verdeeld in 6 gelijke banen groen en oranje (verbleekt).
Awarded to Cornelis Heijweg (1802 - ?), Gouda, 1833;{Note RMA.} by descent through the family to his great-great-grandson Marinus Hendrikus Botschuijver (1895-1970), Amsterdam;{Note RMA.} by whom donated to the museum, 1949
