The Deutsche Zeitung in den Niederlanden (DZN) was a German-language newspaper published during the occupation in the Netherlands. It was a propaganda tool of the German occupying forces there. Along with a German readership, they were keen to reach a Dutch audience. As the text of this advertisement states, the paper wanted to ‘mediate’ between Dutch and German ‘economic life.’
