Description
Reliëf voorstellende de persoon van Justinianus. Bedoeld voor het gebouw van de Hoge Raad aan het Plein in Den Haag. Onderdeel van een serie van 4 figuren die de grote wetgevers der mensheid moesten verbeelden: Napoleon, Mozes, Solon en Justinianus. Gebouw van de Hoge Raad dateerde uit 1860 en werd bij een verbouwing in 1935- van nieuwe decoraties voorzien. Justinianus uiteindelijk anders uitgevoerd: en face in plaats van frontaal.
