Model of a Cora-Cora, anonymous, c. 1800 - c. 1875
The Cora-Cora is a Moluccan prahu. Eyes have been painted on either side of the prow. The cabin is finely decorated with gilded reliefs of birds. The red-white-andblue stripe adorning the front and back of the hull suggests that the vessel may have been used as a state ship by the colonial government in the Dutch East Indies.
