From his first exhibitions in the Netherlands Huszár showed etchings alongside his paintings. As far as subject, style, and atmosphere are concerned, the works in both media are closely related. Some of his dreamy, colourful landscapes and a flower garden were painted in Almen, a village in the Achterhoek region. The subjects of these etchings seem to find their origins there as well.
