In 1958 Bert Haanstra made the movie Fanfare, a comedy about two competing brass bands. For this highlight of Dutch film history, the graphic designer Jan van Keulen made the accompanying poster which evokes associations with cheerful marching band music. A tuba player is loosely constructed out of coloured planes.
