Schilderkunst zit voor een ezel en houdt een palet in de hand. Ze kijkt op naar Architectuur, die leunt op een liniaal, en Beeldhouwkunst, met een antieke buste in de hand. Op de voorgrond aan een tafel Graveerkunst met een burijn in de hand. In de marge een onderschrift uit de Aeneas van Virgilius in het Latijn.
