Description
Een jonge vrouw zit met een boek op schoot en leest twee meisjes voor die op de grond zitten. Op de achtergrond vermoedelijk een representatie van het voorgelezen verhaal: een meisje in een baljurk staat met de handen in de lucht terwijl achter haar zich een schaduw aftekent van een wijzende figuur in een mantel met hoed.
