Description

De gezanten van Alexander de Grote bekleden de tuinman Abdalonymos met de insigniën der koningswaardigheid van Sidon. De handeling vindt plaats buiten de muren van de stad. Vanaf de stadsmuren volgen mensen de gebeurtenissen. Rechts een man vissend in een bootje op het water. Op de voorgrond ligt het gereedschap van de tuinman, een spade en een gieter.
