Boerenkermis in een dorp. Links een gezelschap rond een tafel buiten een herberg. Op de voorgrond een deftig klein kind met een bijtstaaf of rammelaar. Linksachter dansen dorpelingen in een kring, daarnaast wordt gevochten. In de verte kraampjes voor een kerk.
