De ontvangst van de Franse ambassadeur Henri Charles Arnauld de Pomponne in Venetië in 1706. De aankomst vindt plaats op de Molo, de kade voor het Dogenpaleis. Voorbij het paleis een deel van de Piazetta, in de verte het Canal Grande.
