Good to know

You can book for several groups at the same time. But in the museum your group may consist of up to 15 people, whereby a child also counts as 1 person. With a tour guide, the total number of people is 16.

TAKE A GUIDED TOUR OF THE MUSEUM

If you’d like to hear fascinating details about the art in the Rijksmuseum, then book a guided tour. Various tours are available with our own guides. Most tours are available in Dutch and English, and some also in other languages.

Would you like to visit the museum with your own tour guide, or are you a guide yourself? You are welcome to visit to the museum with an external tour guide, but some important changes have been made. Please see the information for tour guides below.

REGISTER AS A GUIDE

If you would like to give tours of the Rijksmuseum as an external or guest tour guide, you now have to register in advance. This lets us know who we can expect, and it means we can provide you with the information you need to act as a guide at the museum. As a registered guide you will be invited to information sessions, and we will send you updates about new exhibitions and other Rijksmuseum news.

Registration is mandatory if you want give tours of the Rijksmuseum as an external or guest guide.
